Coming soon to iOS

The paths you
almost took.

Crossed shows you where you and your friends almost met: the same coffee shop five minutes apart, the street you both walked without knowing.

Free during beta. iOS only for now, Android is next.

How it works

Every day, quietly.

Nothing to remember, nothing to check in real time. Crossed works in the background and surfaces what matters once a day.

1

Live your day

Crossed runs quietly in the background. Your exact location never leaves your phone unhashed.

2

We match on hashes

Our servers compare rounded location cells, never raw coordinates, to find near-misses with friends.

3

See your crossings

At the end of the day, discover the times you almost ran into a friend without realizing.

What it does

A quiet, honest log of the friends you almost saw.

See your crossings

At the end of each day, discover the times you almost ran into a friend without realizing.

Set your comfort

Different friends, different closeness. Choose what you share and how you're notified, per friend, both ways.

Protect your home

Mark private zones around home or work. Nothing captured there is ever shared, even with your closest friends.

Privacy first

Built so no one can find you, not even us.

Crossed is designed so that even in a worst-case breach, no one, not us, not an attacker, could figure out where you live, work, or spend your time.

Hashed on your device

Before anything leaves your phone, your GPS coordinates are converted into opaque geohashes, small rounded location cells. Your exact coordinates never reach our servers.

We match on hashes, not coordinates

Our servers can only tell that you and a friend shared a hash. They can't tell where that hash is in the world without prior knowledge of the area.

Private zones stay private

Choose zones, home, work, wherever matters, that are redacted at the source. Points inside those zones never leave your device, not even as hashes.

Bilateral consent, always

You and each friend independently choose how much you share. The stricter setting always wins. Nobody can be surprised.
